SAFETY & PRIVACY

Private should actually mean private.

SecretYes is designed to minimize what one user can learn about another before a user deliberately reveals a locked mutual connection.

18+ only

SecretYes is intended only for adults aged 18 and older. Minors must not use the service.

One-sided interest stays private

Adding someone never identifies you to them or exposes your private label or the connection type you chose. If they already use SecretYes they may get an anonymous “someone has a Secret Yes for you” alert, grouped into at most one summary text a day at a random daytime hour. Repeatedly adding and removing someone blocks re-adding them for 7 days, heavy add-and-remove activity pauses adding altogether, and a number picked by many accounts in a day stops receiving these texts for a week. SecretYes is built around mutuality rather than public likes.

Phone-number privacy

Verified phone numbers are used for private matching and account functionality. They are not intended to be displayed publicly simply because someone uses SecretYes.

Mutual notifications

When enabled, match notifications are intentionally designed to be vague. A lock-screen message should not expose sensitive relationship categories or a person’s identity. The app also keeps the mutual match anonymous until reveal.

Block, report and remove

As SecretYes grows, blocking, reporting and match-removal controls are important safety tools. If you receive unwanted contact outside SecretYes, use the relevant platform’s blocking and reporting tools as well.

Never use SecretYes for harassment

Do not use SecretYes to stalk, threaten, impersonate, pressure, deceive or harass another person. Do not upload or automate large lists of numbers for surveillance or profiling.
